Single Hung Windows

A single-hung window has a fixed upper sash and a lower sash that operates vertically, sliding up to open. Available configurations include a 70/30 sash split and a tilt-in lower sash. It is one of the most common replacement styles because it is simple to operate and keeps a traditional look.

In a single-hung window only the lower sash moves. In a double-hung window both sashes move and typically tilt in for cleaning.
